About Freire Figs
Our History
Freire Figs was founded in 2020 by my wife & I. How did we get into figs? It all started with 1 fig tree. Figs were not new to me as I grew up with them in San Miguel, Azores but when we came to the United States they were not common at all. Many years past and a family member gave us a fig tree & we started to research figs, fig trees & care. We learned so much & about how many different varieties there were that we were hooked and started collecting.
Since then, we have grown to serve beginners, enthusiests & collectors all over the country. We are proud of our roots and remain committed to providing high-quality products and services to our customers.
Our Figs
We have just under 200 different varieties of fig trees from all over the world. We have learned over the years the best fruit is the fruit you grow yourself and unless you grow your own fig tree most will never know the absolute delight of a fresh fig.
Our Goals
At Freire Figs we want to share our love of figs. Through our trees, fruit & knowledge. We have sold our trees on Figbid & now through our first partnership with Lee's/Clements Markets, so keep an eye out for fresh figs in the upcoming months.
